Google Chrome – Web browser, open-source software, developed by Google. Chrome uses engine WebKit to display Web pages, developed for Apple Safari browser based on KHTML. First public beta version of Chrome for Microsoft Windows went 2 Sept, 2008.
Unlike other browsers, in Chrome, each tab is a separate process. In the event of Chrome processing content tabs stall, it can be closed without risk of losing all the data in your browser. Chrome uses engine V8 for processing JavaScript. According to test speed, speed of processing scripts in Chrome is approximately the speed of the latest versions of Opera browser with coefficient 1,2 (Opera 9.50a = 1,0 Chrome, Opera 9.23 = 1,1 Chrome, Safari 3.0.3 = 1,3 Chrome).
Chrome contains more about: URI, as Firefox. In addition to the now familiar about: cache and about: plugins, in Chrome is different URI to the statistics. Also, Google Chrome includes the demonstration of ability to run external programs within the tab.
