Internet Explorer (abbreviated as MSIE or IE) – a series of browsers, which occupies first place in the number of users (76.04%). Today, the most stable version of the browser is Internet Explorer 7.0, included with Windows Vista.
Internet Explorer has tabs, pop-up blocker, phishing filter built RSS-aggregator, support for international domain names of group policy and the possibility of auto via Windows Update. Windows-version of Internet Explorer browser engine is based on Trident, which supports standard HTML 4.01, CSS Level 1, XML 1.0 and, DOM Level 1 and part of CSS Level 2 and DOM Level 2. Internet Explorer also has the ability to connect extension that is implemented through object component model (COM). The latest versions of Internet Explorer for the Mac OS and Unix-type systems are Internet Explorer 5.2.3 and Internet Explorer 5.0 SP1 Beta respectively. Currently, the development of Internet Explorer for these system to cease. However, it is now possible to start Internet Explorer on operating systems other than Microsoft Windows, using the realization WinAPI Wine, but without the support of technology ActiveX. Internet Explorer is available for free download, and it will work even when installed on a clandestine copy of Microsoft Windows, but the license agreement allows to install Internet Explorer only with the legal licenses for operating systems Microsoft Windows or Windows NT.
Personally, I believe, Internet Explorer is much worse than Opera. It’s only in the habit of users to use this browser.
